Hey, make Miso gravy instead.
Make a roux, 2 tbls of butter (melted) and 2 tbls of flour, stir it into 1.5 cups hot water with 2 tbls of miso cook until thick and then add a dash of poultry seasoning and a capful of apple cider vinegar. This gravy disappears before the turkey gravy at christmas, and my relatives don't know that its veg.
Cheers
Hello Tiana ~ I may be the first of many to send you a tip on mushroom storage: the paper bag was a good idea but the counter wasn't. Putting them into your refrigerator crisper where they can benefit from cool air circulation would have been a good move. Mushrooms like cool.
Best wishes & happy eating, AMR
A friend bought me a local (saskatoon) vegetarian cookbook written by a little Indian woman. The recipes are great! I'll try to remember to bring it to work and copy it our for you.
A coworker mentioned that you can buy organic turkeys straight from the farmer at the Ottawa Organic Farmers Market (Ottawa Organic Farmers Market) on Saturdays. Only thing is, you need to pre-order them so it's too late for this thanksgiving!
