This is an excellent quality eggs benedict breakfast. This particular one was the special that day and had brisket as the meat, which made things pretty chewy. Would be better with bacon or ham!
Great home-fried potatoes with house made chili and vinegar sauce (ketchup available by request).
The drip coffee was excellent. My wife had been twice before and, while the food was good, her lattes were utterly disappointing with poorly foamed milk. We did not want to chance it a third time so she had tea or something this visit. Restaurants and coffee houses should not charge barista prices if they don't have trained baristas (Wilf and Ada's is only one of many guilty of this).
Biscotti got a new chef and are now serving brunch. The eggs Benedict plate was just perfect. The eggs Benedict came with a beautiful ham. It was juicy and tender. The potatoes were hand made in a skillet. The salad and potatoes were vegetables from Juniper farm in Wakefield. Really fresh and complimentary to the eggs Benedict in terms of flavours. This plate was only $12!
I tried the Chicken bobotie eggs benefict for the first time and was delighted. The bobotie consists of minced chicken in a curry sauce served over slices of their locally made molasses bread topped with soft poached eggs covered in a Hollandaise sauce. The pan fried mashed potatoes was crusty and tasty as usual. There was also a small side of mixed fruits.
Service was prompt and professional. Our coffee cups were topped every time they were emptied.
There was a bit of wait for a table at 11am (20 minutes) but it was totally worth it!
Delicious eggs benedict at Heart and Soul! Miam miam miam. Nice hollandaise, and a pretty giant portion. Side potatoes get two thumbs up. Also kudos for the fresh side salad and raspberry vinaigrette! Very nice work.
The brunch buffet has a little eggs benny station with your choice of smoked salmon (!) or ham. They even take a little blowtorch to it after the hollandaise topping.
The Québécoise eggs benedict has bacon and fried onions. Along with the creamy hollandaise sauce, it is to die for. The homemade fries are a great side. All the egg dishes also come with beans.

Overall a fantastic and fun hipster-posh diner!
