I don't normally enjoy hot and sour soup much as I find it overly sweet, bamboo-y, and vinegary, but without much depth. However, I trust Rice Pea and really wanted to give theirs a shot. $3.50 for a generous small bowl.

Super tasty! Not sweet at all, nicely balanced, and all the parts I like. This is the best hot and sour soup I've had.

I'm a bit of a Hot and Sour Soup freak and try it everywhere I can. I have a favorite in Winnipeg MB and am constantly searching for an equivalent here in Ottawa. I had given up until I tried this teeny little dive. Best hot and sour soup I've had in this city! Surprise!

It's dark and rich and loaded with tofu and goodness. (I personally prefer a darker H&S Soup - as opposed to the clearish yellowy gingery kind that most places have). It's nice and thick (not too thick - ie: not that over cornstarched thick that so many places have). It's got a nice bite that will make your nose run, nice and spicy - but not overwhelmed with heat - the flavour is the real star here.

Oh, the best part - CHEAPO! Only $2.75 for a nice big serving!!!!!

I have been a regular at this place for over 10 years. I have been to restaurants in tor,nyc,mtl,halifax,atlantic city.........nothing compares to this place. I always try to find it everywhere I go but it cant be beat. Love that its family owned and the service is always great.

Definitely the best H&S soup in the city. I find LiveToEat's comment interesting, because what I love about this soup is that it's always a little bit different: spicier, sweeter, more savoury. But it's almost always amazing!

I have been a lunchtime visitor for 20 years. Their 10 preset specials at $6.95 are inexpensive always fresh, and generous quantities. I particularly like the szechuan beef special with a bowl of hot & sour! For me it is the best hot & sour soup in town !

The definitive H&S soup is at Royal Treasure... they are inconsistent, but when they get it right... it is better than anything I have had in Toronto or this side of HongKong!

I don't like advertising this restaurant as I think they are overpriced... but they have some interesting things....

The hot and sour soup here is one of the better versions I have tried. Be certain to try this out here.
