Classic Asian market experience at Lim Bangkok. Bought some odds and ends, and for $25 I got about as much food as I could carry.

I am particularly impressed by their collection of fresh Asian herbs--they have stuff there I almost never see elsewhere, and some of them I don't even recognize. They also have a lot of other oddities, including fresh banana blossoms and fresh kaffir limes (the fruit as well as the leaves).

love sticky rice and upon recently, I've basically steamed it with a sieve and only steamed rice once in a while

both my Thai mentor and Lao GF at the time laughed at me

finally, I decided to get a real steamer set up
pot and bamboo steamer cone
thought it would be spendy being everything food related is now so costly but it wasn't and the nice guys at L.B. fixed me up real nice for under 15$
now I steam rice whenever I want which lately has been nightly lol

Just noticed there were four comments on scoring a particular brand of hot chill oil from Lim Bangkok but they were posted under New Market 168 which, sadly, no longer exists.
I really like Lim Bangkok so had to give them a shout out on this.
Thank you.

[FF EDIT: I moved them over to this vendor entry. Thanks.]
