Let some people know theres a special and boom....Just to let you guys know a guy basically "cleaned" me out of morels yesturday:( So no bags are availible over 4oz (so more people can enjoy them) With only limited availiblity as well. I also have $10 to $50 Mixed wild mushroom bags includes(porcini, morel, pigs ears, scaber stock boletus and northern comb tooth) (but also only limited supplys) I need to save enough for myself to last till late summer/fall.
Ive also been scoping out some foray locations and its starting to look like theres some spots pretty close.(will keep you posted) We can start looking for natural spring morels as early as mid april!! Also if anyone needs some help trying to figure out kind of mushrooms they found I can probably help you out as well. Send me a photo and info on were you found it. ie Growing on dead maple, near stream, other musrhrooms around etc...

Made a Prosciutto Mushroom Linguini with the Porcinis, last night.
It had rave reviews, including mine. Those Funky Porcinis are really really good.
The dish is modelled after an 'ol Zola's Zolas Restaurant offering.
They still offer it and Zola's recipe, once appeared , years ago, in the Ottawa Citizen as part of the Food Section.

Captain C - That dish looks fantastic! Would you be willing to share the recipe?
IMO, Zola's is still OK, but in the old days they were much better... So I'd certainly be interested in having a recipe from when they were at the top of their game. (I too remember when local restaurants used to share recipes in The Citizen - that was a great regular column... Unfortunatly, I wasn't much of a collector then... now I regret it).
