I want to start out by saying I love the atmosphere at the Barley Mow. Fantastic spot to sit and enjoy the decor.
Everytime I go, the service is always iffy. I find it takes awhile to get your food, get a server to take your order, refills on drinks. Just a bit frustrating. But they are always pleasant and courteous.
The food is excellent. I have never had a bad meal there --- i have been there a few times. So if you are looking for a pub atmosphere with a step up from typical pub fare and are not looking for fast service then go to Barley Mow.

I ordered the breakfast pizza with no sausage (naan, cheddar, red onions, tomatoes, scrambled eggs and hollandaise sauce. And he had an omelette with 'cremini' mushrooms spinach and some other stuff.
Mine was pretty good but I found it strange that there was tumeric on this. I'm not sure if it's always in their sauce or they just add it for this dish to 'indian it up'
The cremini mushrooms turned out to be regular mushrooms but the husband still really enjoyed it.
Both dishes came with big wedge-cut home fries that had really good flavour but had a bit of breading on them. So good flavour but the breading was weird.
The service was great. We would both definitely go back.
