I saw a sign for the future site of Robz Sandwiches at 1696 Carling Ave. (former 1000 Sushi Islands location). It looked like it was going to be a pool hall with Robz Sandwiches running a kitchen.
I phoned them and on their recorded message they said they were moving but did not say to where. I then assumed that the inspections referred to their new premises?

ETA website says renos, not moving. Just waiting for inspection.
Sneaky good roast beef sandwiches here. The Graham Special is generous and amazing, so much so that I will probably never get to try anything else on the menu.
This is more of a check-in than a review but this is an excellent sandwich shop in my books. I hit it up a couple times a month and I've tried lots of different things on the menu, all great. The quality doesn't waiver. If I get combo, everything works(fries, slaw, pickle). Seems like Rob is a really hard worker doing a solid job so it's easy to part with my money there. Taking into account the limited eat-in space I would say that it's worth a trip to try it out.
Wow, how have I not known about this place? I work nearby and today stopped into the little strip mall to grab a quick lunch at one of the other places there - which is when I saw this place and decided to stop in instead. Had an amazing sandwich at a very reasonable price - what more could a guy ask for? Will definitely be back.
