I can confirm that this olive oil is excellent. Top quality, fresh and 'local'. I have other favorites, but Terra is definitely worth buying.

This olive oil is definitely top notch. The owner lives in Ottawa but the family has an olive grove in Greece which is where the olive oil is produced then shipped to Ottawa. Edit: I have no connection to the product or the family - I have just tried this olive oil and I really like it. I first met the owner at Rainbow Foods (he had a table set up and was providing samples) and he has also had a table set up at Market Organics. (His olive oils are available at both stores and all Natural Food Pantries.) The owner is VERY FRIENDLY so if you get a chance to meet him it would be worth your while. However I do agree with others and it sounds a little like the original post was made by an employee or family member. Just my two cents.

The company does appear to be a local Ottawa one, so I'm not going to delete it. In fact, I'd love to give their product a shot and write some comments. I'll pick some up next time I'm at Rainbow Foods or one of the markets they supply. I'm always on the lookout for good olive oil.

Terra Foods Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the best. It's from from the Agricultural Growers Cooperative of Krokees, Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), controlled and guaranteed. It is 100% pure, not a commercial oil. It's not mixed like most commercial, not filtered so it has all its nutrition, it's acidity level has always been below .5%. For real olive oil lovers, once you try this one, you will never go back to others. Check greekoliveoil.ca or talk to the owner. He is the producer of the oil and it is the same oil that the farmers of the town of Krokees, Greece, consume.
