Went here for a farewell dinner last night. Third (or fourth?) time I go now and I'm overdue to sign the praises of this restaurant!

Two story house on Laval not far from Portage buildings, the place is often packed with public service workers. They also have a little patio when the weather is warm.

Started off last night's meal with an antipasto platter - I get this every time we're here because it's so tasty and great price at $8.75 (easily feeds two as an appetizer). (See under antipasto tab.)

I continued my meal with a Calabrese pizza (tomato sauce, calabrese, mushrooms, mozzarella and parmesan) with figs - delicious thin crust pizza, just enough cheese. I thought the slices of Calabrese sausage were a tad too thick but that was my only problem. I only ate half my pizza because I wanted to keep room for another staple of this restaurant - the lemon pie!

Capped off my meal with their delicious lemon pie. Maybe it's just my imagination but I think it had a slight hint of coconut? Served with fresh whipped cream, it is delicious!

I didn't drink yesterday but they have a big selection of beers and wines.

Service was great, very friendly and perfect pace - not too slow, not too hurried. The atmosphere is great too - feels like a homey little bistro.

What it all boils down to though is their excellent food - I will be back again and again!

Been going here for years. The best thin crust pizza I have been able to find. There is a great selection to choose from. The one i love is simple. Crushed tomatoes, chopped garlic, mozzarella and bresh basil. They give you a bottle of spiced olive oil as well to put on it.
Cant wait for our next lunch there

Best antipasto in Ottawa! The plate is piled high with brie, provolone, calabrese, prosciutto, boiled eggs, pickles, olives, marinated artichokes, mushrooms, zucchinis and tomatoes and pesto. Use crusty bread to mop up the oil and spices used to marinate the veggies... delicious!!! Perfect for two; a steal at $8.75. I highly recommend!
