We stopped by Barrhaven Vietnamese last night for a quick dinner before the movies. The service was great last night. We were served by 3 different people and all 3 came by to make sure that everyone was to our satisfaction. Most of us had Pho, but my husband and I had Bun. The Bun was actually great, the meat was hot and moist and the veggies were fresh. I will nitpick and say that there was no mint in my bowl, but other than that everything was great.
My pet peeve is that they don't keep the garlic hot sauce on the table. We had to ask for some and they brought it over in a little dish. So we had to send the poor guy back for another since I eat a bunch myself. The price was right too, 9.95 for chicken, beef and springroll! Yum!

off doing errands by the home depot and needed some healthy lunch. kept ignoring fast food and jip places and passed by tried and true BV again.

saw a chicken @ pork satay special with salad @ BV. can you believe this for $9.95? AND you get a starter wonton soup & spring roll???? nice! and it's all about the tasty satay sauce which i like integrating into my cuisine. mix it all up with the rice and dipping sauces and yup, it's like a healthy vietnamese diet.

and the mondo size of this mofo dish in relation to the knives and forks. healthy feeling afterwords, feel comfortable and rightly satisfied. keep fit and me love you long time.

oh and very clean resto as well.

honkin' beef stew @ barrhaven vietnamese in the fastest growing suburb with skyrocketing real estate profits in ottawa. this dish had a nice balance of spice and heat in the zesty sauce. try it!

spicy beef with rice vermicelli and spring roll @ barrhaven vietnamese. ah the dry goodies in which you just dunk the fish/vinegar sauce on, mix it up to your liking. something always randy about asian cuisine in which they always julienne their veggiesm throw a dash of crunchy bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and have a side plate of kewl garnishes like lime wedges, thai basil, hot sauces, oils, soy sauces... clean healthy eating feels so good you feel like a million bucks. is this diet the southeast secret to prolonging youth and supa graceful aging? baby hit me up one more time, yo.

what better way to warm the cockles of my heart after being a snowblow cowboy cleaning up a foot of snow off the driveway on a glorious cold winter in ottawa... i listened to my heart and it made way to barrhaven vietnamese restaurant. something about the dishes here that have that clean taste...(ok not as supa clean like pho van van on holland which is prolly the only pho place that doesn't use MSG) and i always seem to graviate to my usual XL mofo sized bbq pork pho with special broth and requested egg noodle instead of the rice noodle. now this totally hit the sweet spot and just a squirt of shirasa hot sauce and i'm totally warmed up. perfect cure for the cold, flu or winter chills. me luv you long time.

This is one of the only places I go to in Barrhaven. It is so nice to have a great, healthy and inexpensive restaurant within 5 minutes of home. My personal experience is that the service is great! Perhaps that is because I am there once every week or so and they know me. And maybe because I have a cute 2 year old who applauds when they bring out his spring rolls...

I love their pho and the noodle bowls. Their spring rolls are always fresh and crispy and their rice rolls are always good too. My husband and I also love the spicy squid on the appetizer menu.

We are so happy to have this restaurant in Barrhaven. Our favourites are the vegetarian salad rolls, the vegetarian hot and sour soup and the vegetarian chicken with cashews. The owner now recognizes us as regulars and is very friendly. The washrooms are immaculate. We go to the counter to pay our bill when we are ready. It is generally busy most nights.

The Pho was good. Unfortunately, we were here on October 5th and I only now pulled the photo off my phone, so I've forgotten the finer details of the experience.

Lots of seating here and certainly worth visiting if you happen to be in Barrhaven. Especially after dropping your kids off at a birthday party around the corner! ;-)

The inside of this restaurant is clean and neat and is not like those in Chinatown. Every one ordered Phở Tai (we had the one with beef and meat balls, #262 on the menu, see photo). The taste was not bad. But my friend told me their Phở is still next to New Mee Fung. Anyway, it is good to have a good quality Vietnamese restaurant in Barrhaven. Hurrah! Cheap dinner tonight, around $14 per person. Better than pizza or McDonald.
