Re-worded from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focaccia

Focaccia is a flat bread topped with spices and other products, which is related to modern pizza. The basic recipe is thought by some to have originated with the Etruscans (early Romans) or ancient Greeks. It is quite popular in Italy where it is usually seasoned with olive oil and herbs, topped with cheese and meat or flavored with a number of vegetables. Focaccia doughs are similar in style and texture to pizza doughs consisting of high-gluten flour, oil, water, sugar, salt and yeast.

They have a local Italian baker come in every morning with a fresh batch, which they use largely for their famous sandwiches. Read the description of Di Rienzo's for why you should go there right now!

Oily white bread with tomato and cheese does not foccacia make. This was equal parts embarrassing and disgusting.

Of the two "topped" focaccia offerings, the stringy spinach on one and the strong cheese on the other didn't appeal to me or my family. You, however, might like it so don't listen to me.

We will stick with the incredible plain focaccia!

Tried a sweet focaccia with goat cheese, walnuts and honey. It was amazing. The slice was really big, so worth sharing since it was sweet. A similar sized slice of savoury would be good to eat alone.

lovetoeat, both en.wikipedia.org and www.carina-forum.com say that pizza bianca is a type of focaccia.

This isn't the best picture but the taste of this focaccia is gorgeous! Perfectly oily, salty, and lightly charred on top. Chewy-crusty deliciousness! My new favourite treat-bread in town.
