I love taking my taste buds on a trip, especially one so exotic, right in my community!

This modest and quaint eatery offers an extensive selection of Pho in addition to other traditional Vietnamese dishes.

After being served a pot of Green tea, we started our lunch with the Chạo Tm Nủớng appetizer. It was Grilled Shrimp on Sugarcane served with Asian Cocktail Sauce.

I quenched my thirst with the Honeydew milk tea which is also called Bubble tea. Bubble tea has tapioca balls in it.

My guest had the Taro-flavoured milk tea/Bubble tea. Taro is a sweet potato.

The bowls of Pho are served in your choice of three sizes: small, medium and large.

We both went with the small size.

I had the Phở Nạm which consisted of flank steak with rice noodles in a beef broth.

My fellow diner had Phở G which consisted of chicken with rice noodles in a beef broth.

The Pho was served with a plate of bean sprouts, lemon wedges and fresh coriander. I dropped some beans and coriander in my soup before I dug in.

Everything was yummy, yummy, yummy! The beverages were light, flavourful and tasted so fresh. The tapioca was chewy and delicious. The appetizer was good, the dipping sauce tangy and sweet. I didn't know if we were supposed to eat the sugar cane but decided against trying to.

The Pho, oh the Pho. I couldn't believe how filling it was. I have long heard about Pho and how good it was and I was not disappointed. Mind you I can't compare it with any others but all I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised. The crunch of the raw beans was a great contrast to the warm liquid and soft noodles. The broth infused with the fresh coriander was like a party in my mouth

Pho is not 'just soup'. It's way more than that.

I ended up using a spoon, fork and chopsticks to eat the pho. I actually couldn't finish my 'small' bowl of Pho... unfortunately...

The prices are very reasonable.

This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants that I know in Ottawa. The interior decor is very nice and the staff is friendly.

I love the spring rolls and the wonton rice noodle soup (or maybe it's egg noodle, but I'm always asking for rice noodle if I have the chance).

I agree with Fresh Foodie that the place is tidy, very clean indeed! :)

The only thumb down that I would give is the location. It's very far from downtown. Though, if you follow my advice, you should park your car downtown during a weekend (parking free of charge for now...), take the OC Transpo bus in Albert Street (don't forget to ask for a transfer) and take the O-Train from Bayview to Greenboro and then, take the OC Transpo bus again in the Transitway to Hunt Club and Bank. You'll save lots of time to get there instead of doing constant stops at many intersections.

My boyfriend got the grilled pork vermicelli which was gone in two minutes. WHen it was brought to the table it was much prettier than this, I couldn't pull my camera out fast enough!

Went for lunch and was impressed with the tidy and clean atmosphere and the nice air conditioning on a hot day. Menu has standard (good!) Vietnamese choices.

Spring rolls tasted pretty good but were kind of greasy. I won't bother with them next time.

Just ate lunch here. This place is great! Lots of menu items including soups with beef or chicken broth. This is the Chicken and Shrimp Sate Rice Noodle which I recommend. I am coming back here!

I had the H01 - Chicken broth rice noodle with beef and shrimp satay. It was definitely tasty, with more fried onions and sesame flavour than other places. Spice level was low-moderate, just pleasant.

The Pho Bo (beef) comes in 3 sizes, but the others (including mine) have just one size. I would be happier if I had a choice of sizes (the single-size bowl looks like a medium).

Classic Bn Thịt Nướng here. I enjoy the addition of pickled onion which I haven't seen at other Vietnamese joints around town.

The complexity of flavour in Bn B Huế is perhaps unparalleled in Western cuisine (maybe?). This version does not have as many proteins as others around town but it's still top notch. I've had nothing but great experiences with this restaurant and highly recommend their Vietnamese offerings.
