Yes... I live around the corner from it and was always wanting to try it, but alas, I never can... oh well... guess I'll have to try Sum Tum Thai as recommended.
Got to the restaurant just before 9:30pm and they were about to have the carpets cleaned. They were going to let us eat there but we decided to do takeout. We got the special green mango and shrimp and pork salad, the jungle curry (which is called something else), and the stuffed chicken wings. Our food took a while to get considering we were the only ones there - aside from the carpet cleaners who weren't eating. But that was an indicator of how fresh the food was.
I had heard of the stuffed chicken wings from one of the local magazines which professed them as unique and worth the visit. While unique, I found that they were a little dull without the spicy chili sauce that came with them. They are stuffed with vermicelli, lemongrass, and other stuff I couldn't identify. Good with the sauce and perfectly deep fried.
The jungle curry which is supposed to be very spicy is just medium spicy unless you bite into one of the chilies - then you'll cry. It's as good as the jungle curry used to be at Royal Thai. It's wild boar in a spicy brown curry sauce. Reminds me of the golden chicken at Phnom Penn (which is better though).
The special of the day was the green mango with shrimp and pork salad. This was really good, flavourful, and fresh.
I'd definitely go back. This is one of the better Thai restaurants in town.
