Dinner Rec for Out of Towner [General]

If your wife is a pescatarian she might like Pelican Grill in Ottawa South.
I could also recommend Shafali and East India Company.

When price is no object, I think the two top candidates in the area are Atelier and Le Baccara. MēNa
is a nice choice too.
Atelier definitely handles dietary limitations (let them know in advance) and I'm sure Le Baccara can handle a pescetarian gracefully.
Another pricy option that people seem to like is Riviera, although I was a bit underwhelmed at the value.
Some more reasonable options that reflect Ottawa's diversity and deliciousness well:
Edgar (brunch)
Gezellig (brunch or dinner)
Allium (dinner)
Bar Laurel (dinner)
Art Is In Bakery
The Noodle House
Le Mien Craft Noodle

You don't say if you prefer a particular part of town.
Thinking that you might like downtown/Rideau Centre/Market area for the evening then I would recommend
Play (it is a sister restaurant to Gezellig)
Riviera (has relatively good location on Sparks Street if you like to walk)
Oz Kafe (located in the Market)
Other Market restaurants such as Eighteen, Social or Sidedoor
You might want to browse the following article about the top 10 chefs as per last night's fundraising dinner. ottawacitizen.com
In terms of location, Allium, Soca, My House Café, Gezellig, Supply and Demand are all located in the same general area (Hintonbug/Wellington West/Westboro). Atelier isn't that far away near Chinatown.
Preston Street is another area that has a lot of nice restaurants (MeNa mentioned here). EVOO is very good for Greek - Dows Lake is at one end of Preston Street.

Apologies if this is a common thread request - I tried to take a look around but couldn't find a recommendation.
There is no price point (ie we'd be happy to dine in even the most expensive restaurants in Ottawa if they are destination worthy - but we are also happy with more reasonable options that are special to Ottawa). It is hard to nail down a type of food that we are looking for too. There is almost no specific type of food that we won't eat. The one caveat is that my wife is a pescatarian and so no steakhouses or places that are completely meat focused.
So...carte blanche to recommend the best dinner options and brunch options out there.
I appreciate your advice - and nice to see a site like this for a foodie visitor.
