Value, Reasonably Priced Dinners 2015 [General]

I will start.
We had a group get together today.
6 of us met at the Prescott to watch a football match.
We had 1 large dewey(since 1934) (large square pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, green olives, onions &ground bacon on a foccaicia style crust-we asked for ours well done but if you want it less crispy don't specify), 2 orders of meatball sliders (yummy, one with cheese), 1 order zucchini, 2 pitchers of domestic beer and 2 quarts of lugstread (+ 2 or 3 softdrinks & iced tea).
Service was very good . Empty/dirty dishes were removed promptly. We were there for a couple of hours and were attended to regularly with friendly , prompt service. Asked how service was & if we needed help without being intrusive.
$127 + $25 tip
We felt this was excellent value for the experience & $ spent.

I would like to cast a vote for East India Company. I usually get their take-out dinners. Their meals for one are $13 for the veg option and $14 for the non-veg option. It includes a protein, a veg and some rice. Even the regular menu items are rather substantial. Their railway mutton curry is my favourite and for $15 I get a lamb curry, rice, and salad. I find the portions are generous.

I have only been for lunch, so please excuse taking this topic on such an early tangent, but my vote is for Les Grillades. If you sit down for a meal, you get the complimentary pita and veggies with the crack-like garlic dip that could be a meal in itself. The entrees however are a full plate of great food, which I have yet to finish = yummy leftovers, for about $15.
However, the real bargain is the $5 shwarma or falafel take out lunch special. A massive sandwich for $5 (no extra tax) that fills you up past dinner.

Great idea for a thread.
I'll throw Corazon de Maiz into the mix-- you can get stuffed on so-good Mexican for under $10 (including unlimited dipping sauce!), taxes in, though the ridiculously friendly service might encourage you to tip your total above that mark. You'll have to drink water, though.
Will have to check out both Pour Boy and Lieutenant's Pump-- I've been to the latter before, but it's been a while.
