Just as confusing as Cellared in Canada!

I love the explanation offered in the comments: the sherry is a product of Spain, but it was bottled in France, meaning the air at the top is French! :-D

Zym - I did a bit of digging... this is an Internet Hoax. Someone with too much time on their hands... and no understanding of wine and wine products.

Maitre Jacques is a French Company specializing in Vinegars (wine vinegars in particular)... This one is made from world famous, award winning Sherry from Spain (although the correct terminology for Spanish Sherry is Jerez... named after the town where it was made famous). Sherry is the "anglicization" of the word Jerez.

In this case the Vinegar within the bottle is made from Sherry from Spain, but it is bottled by the home company in France.

When one sees the "entire" label... the words Sherry Wine Vinegar are prominently displayed at the bottom of the bottle (the portion that is so "conveniently" cut-off in this picture).

LOL, of course this wording on the label would never fly in Canada... our rules are too strict, it would have to clearly say Spanish Sherry and bottled in France.
