cheese and lysteria outbreak [General]

Just a word on the cold cuts and cheese story. If you really have to have them buy from the Kosher counter at Loblaws College Square. The Kosher plants are all so stringently monitored by the Rabbi's that they should be safer than other cold cuts and cheeses.
Also the powers that be in Quebec have not stated if the cheeses were of the unpasturised variety or not. Anyone have any info on this?

Cake Lady - Although I agree that indeed Kosher Foods have a higher level of criteria (and seperation), for the time being should be just isn't good enough for me.

Too bad, I love Riopelle cheese! (definitely more than Maple Leaf Bologna)

My brother in law worked in a Kosher establishment and has some stories to tell about their "high standards of separation". There may be Rabbis in the plants, but there are none in the retail outlets.
