O'Briens is a small out-of-the-way pub that could easily be missed if you weren't looking for it. In my ongoing search for new and interesting places, we decided to give them a try. The pub is small, and fairly aged, but comfortable with many patrons seeming to be regulars. We started with wings and a pitcher of the micro-brewery Gritstone Red on the patio. The wings are offered in all the heats, sucide, BBQ and honey garlic; we ordered Hot and BBQ. The Hot, like most places, was a Franks Hot sauce, not bad, but not overly hot, and not original. The wings were on the small side and were crispy, but slightly overcooked. The BBQ were alright in flavour, but didn't offer much to write about. Overall, we both did enjoy the flavours, and would order wings again as an appetizer to share. We also split a personal size Mexican pizza, which had lots of meat, cheese and veggies on it and was delicious, but a little greasy.
Pricing at O'Briens isn't bad for the wings with Wing Nights lasting Monday-Wednesday at $0.40/wing (minimum order 15), and the beer is cheap! ($14.26 for the Gritstone!). The service was excellent and I think we'll more than likely go back.

Wing Flavour: 6.75
