I came here for a goodbye dinner for a friend who is running off to take over her father's buisness.

The outside of the place looks lousy. It's relatively old, slightly delapitated with the "North American Chineese" look painted over the place.

A friend invited me there and thus I understood that she had been there a few times. I was able to quickly pick up the friendly nature of the staff. We got a table and while the place had plenty of room for a friday night, the restaurant itself isn't that small. We ordered various appetizers including the Hunan Dumplings and the Hot and Sour Soup. While both of those appetizers were tasty, the Hunan dumplings were not nearly as spicy as I expected. While there was spice in the dishes, the heat didn't seem consistant or evenly distributed. I chomped down on a hot pepper masquarading as a piece of meat in the General Tso's and it nearly killed me.

There was a good selection in terms of dishes and I enjoyed pretty much all of them. The prices for our little feast came to about $20 a person, so not incredibly cheap or woefully overpriced.

In short, a generally decent resto with a good variety. It tastes much better then it looks on the outside and it does advertise as being completely MSG free which is a plus. Worth checking out if you are in the neighbourhood.

The hot and sour soup here is one of the better versions I have tried. Be certain to try this out here.
