Stopped in here today for the first time and had this awesome salad bowl!

There are some truly great toppings you can have them add - all types of veggies and also protein bonuses like seeds and grains.

You end up paying a decent penny for these lunches, but they're pretty filling (and obviously healthy!) so I think I'll be back.

...I just wish the containers were recyclable or compostable :/

Hopefully soon!

Dunno. Someone should ask the Tree how it feels about the whole thing.

And is it ethical to self promote like this?

They seem to have been plugging their website for a while, which I guess is why they didn't get flagged as new user spam.

New User 6442... i'm going to make a mad out of the blue guess here but do you happen to work for EthicalTree dot com?

This place is pretty great! They have delicious salad meals that can easily be made vegan with options like falafel for protein!

They're even listed on EthicalTree.com for their great efforts in sustainability and vegan-options! :D

This new restaurant by the creator of DAVIDsTEA has been the target of much hype. After trying it, I'd say it's pretty much the same thing as Green Rebel. High quality ingredients, really nutritious stuff (probably the most nutritious meal you can get out there), and perfect for people who don't really care about flavourful food.

My Coconut Greens ($15) was like a mishmash of groceries thrown in a bowl. There was no discernible coconut taste, leading me to think that maybe it had been left out by accident. The sherry dressing was okay but sweeter than I like, and the green beans were strangely raw.

A pescetarian coworker who had the Roast Salmon Kimchi bowl (the other one that appealed to me) didn't like it at all and left almost all of it untouched.

So... if you love Green Rebel you'll love Mad Radish! 😝
