Went to do our due diligence on these deep fried cheese curds-- they were pretty good, kind of like dainty mozzarella sticks. The marinara was chunky, at the bottom of the bowl, and tasted like the most classic of late night pizza sauces. Wouldn't have minded if it was a bit thinner and more dippable. Also tried the jalapeno poppers, which were jalapenos halved lengthwise and filled with a dill cream cheese. Missing that crunch that I usually look for it in a popper-type snack, but suppose we had our share of deep fry with the curds, and my body probably appreciates it..

They were out of a couple menu/drink items-- clams and their Ashton and BTP taps-- but it didn't get in the way of our enjoyment ($5 pints from 4-7pm, who can complain..). We'll be back to try the pretzel et al.

Share Freehouse you probably weren't aware of this, but there is a tradition around here of giving free deep fried curds to Ottawa Foodies members. Just saying ;)

Just letting you folks know that I'm here, and I will be reading any comments. Also, a heads up that we have bar snacks for 5$, including deep fried curds. Just saying.

My gf and I are big tartare fan so when we heard that Danny Mongeon ex chef Brut and Hooch had open Share Freehouse and was doing a Bison tartare, we did not hesitate to try it out. We really enjoyed the meat but most importantly, the combination of ingredients. The fried shallots and the fermented chilies gave just the right kick and made the dish so unique. Really great dish.

They have a nice little patio and $5 pints between 4-7pm.
