Niall does a great job of describing this fantastic addition to the Kanata foodie scene. The selection is excellent, the owner is friendly and knowledgeable, and business seems to be brisk (good throughput means fresh product).

I was at JoJo CoCo last Saturday, and I was impressed. For those who don't know about me and chocolate, this is not an easy feat.
It's a small store, recently opened at the NorthEast corner of Hazeldean and CastleFrank (next to Fabricland). It is very well laid-out, looking airy and inviting, space for lots of customers, but still offering a lot of merchandise.
They are re-sellers, but have found an excellent niche: they primarily offer local, regional and Canadian chocolatiers' bars (from Quebec to Orangeville ON to BC - not Rogers) and other offerings, as appropriate, with a few international brands, nearly all of which were unknown to me.
They are the only store location for (pre-boxed) KoKo truffles, and the only local place to get some of the offerings from my favourite chocolatiers, Toronto's SOMA, including the toblerone-on-crack barberry SomaTube.
The staff is knowledgeable and can answer many questions about the merchandise, and offer various recommendations based on what you prefer. I need to go back to try the resealable, microwaveable chocolate fondue for two in small ceramic pots from France.
The bars are fairly priced too, as I walked out with 6 bars for $48, ranging as low as $4. These are not bars you'll eat all in one sitting, so the value lasts over time. (And I'm used to paying $8-10 for a good Valrhona or Amedei bar.)
They can even be used as the start of a short walk to get a dizzying array of excellent high-grade chocolate bars in the neighbourhood, a sort of "Chocolate Heart of Ottawa". In Kanata south. Who knew. (Maybe they did in choosing this place!)
Recommended. (To anyone who knows me, that's the only word they need...)

I dropped in to splurge on a few items last week. The owner is affable and able to offer up interesting tidbits of info about each of her suppliers.
It was fun to try all these items, but I found the Kōkō Chocolates Almond Bark was the best of them all. I admit to being a bit of a purist with chocolate -- I like it plain or in a harmonious relationship with nuts. The high quality chocolate filled with thick slices of roasted almond make this bark my new favourite chocolate product.
