Had a groupon for Paesanl's burning a hole in my pocket for a while and decided to try it last night. It's a very small place, and since it's winterlude we made a reservation.

Decor is basic, clean and simple. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about all the offerings. Menu has a range of soups/pastas/salads/mains with most of the mains in the $18 to $24 range. Last night's special was a salad, mixed grill of one lamb chop and one pork chop and grilled veg. for only $21, but we chose not to go that route.

Pictured is the veal involtini which was stuffed with prosciutto and goat cheese. It was delicious, and the meat was tender, cooked just right, and the flavors and textures were well combined. Most mains are served with potatoes and veg, but you can swap for any of the pastas if you like and with the veal we had fettucine with a rose cream sauce. The other main was Chicken Quo Vadis, a chicken scallopini fried and served in a cognac cream sauce. It was also very nice, but I would have preferred it if the chicken had been floured more and fried until crispy. Portions were generous, and the pastas were fresh, cooked al dente and sauces were good.

Total bill including tax and tip was just under $80 but about $25 of that was wine. If you want good pastas, veal and chicken, Paesani delivers for a reasonable price in a friendly atmosphere.

This place has an amazing and SUPER fast two-egg breakfast. About $5 with coffee (free refills). Great patio too.
