Food quality is like what you'd find at an okay buffet. Sauces tend to be sweet (especially on the Korean Fried Chicken). The soup was very tasty -- definitely worth getting. The rice paper wraps were also pretty good and well-priced.

My plate has just under 1 pound of food on it. Total bill for the food you see here was $11.37 including tax.

Stopped by Steamed Rice Express last night with my friend. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff there are very friendly.

I enjoyed the concept of pay-by-weight. I've had that in Toronto with things like Frozen Yogurt, but not with cooked foods like this. The food was fresh and healthy. I tried a bit of everything, and I enjoyed the curry dishes the most. I would go definitely go back. Plus, Mondays are 25% off.

This place is now open and has a website! The menu is short and food is sold by weight. There was a review in today's Metro: reader.metronews.ca

Just saw a sign for this place, opening soon in a mini-mall off Robertson Rd in Bells Corners. I think it's where Sukhothai used to be, before it moved into the old KFC building.

Does anyone know anything about it? I'm intrigued!
