I'm wondering...which Bridgehead(s) are you going to? There are a few in the city which have automated espresso bars, and I agree, the flavour is lackluster. That said, about half of their stores have Synesso manual pull espresso bars, which pull the most incredible shots. I would definitely give that a try.
Also, regarding tea bags breaking: They will, without blinking, put your tea in a teapot, and then you can let it steep and pour it into the to-go cup. It's a bit more effective this way.
