Cool. Occo, Meat Press, Foolish Chicken, and Art-is-in still to come I guess

I randomly caught the episode with Jax last week. This is the result of the spottings in the fall that were posted to Reddit. I wonder if it will have the same effect as it does in the US. Each time I tried to eat at Jax there was a wait anyway so I'm thinking it's only going to get busier, but I'm not sure there are that many Canadian followers of the show

The show has a HUGE Canadian following.

...now, that said, i would not, for a moment, categorize ANY of these places as Diners, Dives, or Drive-Thrus. I know Guy stretches the concept, but even so... Pelican?

I didn't realize Jax had gone breakfast and lunch only no dinners.

Thanks for the info Pasta Lover and G-Lo!

Does anyone know when they'll be featuring the other Ottawa restaurants (i.e. Foolish Chicken, OCCO, Art-Is-In Bakery) on Triple D's?

We have Bell Fibe. The show slated for Friday is "Rockin' New Orleans". What channel are you guys watching?

2019 Dec 4
The descriptions are the same on Rogers for Friday night, the 9 PM episode mentions the Big Easy and the 10 PM episode described something else. I have both set to record anyway

It's scheduled to be on the US Food Network friday night:

It's not shown on Food Network Canada, which does have Rockin' New Orleans on the schedule.

Sorry folks for getting everyone's hopes up. Inkling is right it's only being broadcast on Food Network USA. It looks like the only episode on right now is the New Orleans one at various times. I am old school and still watching Rogers Cable. Maybe it's streamable?

If he's stretching the concept, maybe he should visit Superette. It's a diner.

2019 Dec 5
Nah. The baking doesn't happen on site.

Fieri was a guest on stage at the Nickelback concert at the hot air balloon fest, Labour Day weekend. He must have filmed the shows then.

2019 Dec 6
Fieri and Nickelback on the same stage? Yeah, that does sound like a lot of hot air.

It looks like the episode is on YouTube:

Pelican Fish is 14 minutes into the YouTube video.

Cool, thanks for posting.

Is the editing of the show always like that? That was kind of hard to watch with the extreme close-ups, going in and out of focus, kind of odd (but still nice to see the Pelican on there).

When I watch the show on TV the camera is more stable. I agree it's a little disconcerting watching the YouTube version but it's nice seeing an Ottawa resto on the show.

Thanks for sharing. Not gonna lie, that Lobster Poutine looks epic!

Oh, it is! I love The Pelican and I’m so glad that they were featured. I was there on Saturday and was told that the episode will air on Foodnetwork Canada in January.

That's not the official feed and the way they feel they can keep it online is to mess with the focus, framing, and content in a way that may fool the algorithm that will get it taken down.
