Merivale Lunch Options [General]

EnglishFoodie If you are looking for somewhere right on Merivale I've got a couple of favourites:
Karara - The Indian Take Out is in the same mall as Living Lighting at the south end of the shopping strip. They have an assortment of really good Indian dishes and they often have a lunch special which is my personal favourite. The inside of the restaurant is really small - maybe only half a dozen tables - which might not be so bad if you are going alone or with a small group but if you are going with a larger group they also offer take-out and delivery.
Farm Boy is in the Merivale Mall and they have lots of prepared meals available as well as a few soups, a salad bar, and sushi. They have a bar to sit at just inside the Merivale Mall entrance if you choose to eat in or you can get take-out.
European Delicatessen is a little further up Merivale and they have a sandwich counter near the cash. Their lieberkasse is my favourite but they are all good. There is a tiny eating area in the store (two tables) or you can get take-out.
Nicastro Fine Foods is further up in the Meadowlands Mall. Their most popular draw is the sandwich bar just past the cash and all of their sandwiches are excellent. They now offer meatball sandwiches and veal parmigiana which are relatively new. I haven't tried the veal yet but the meatball sandwiches are quite tasty. They sometimes have a hot dish available and they also have some ready made dishes to the right of the sandwich counter and they will even heat them up for you if you choose to eat in. They also have a small eating area if you choose to eat in or you can get take-out.
If you don't mind going as far north as Clyde there is Dutch Groceries and Giftware. The offer the same type of sandwiches as European Delicatessen and all are good. They only have one table to sit at but they offer take-out.

Forgot to mention that Raon Kitchen has a take-out kitchen on Bentley just south of Costco. I haven't been there yet but i've eaten at their food truck on Bank Street and it is one of my favourites.

EnglishFoodie Glad to hear you like the European Delicatessen. I usually focus my trips to Merivale on the stretch from Meadowlands to Hunt Club. But I'd like to head up the opposite direction at some point since I'd love to try Casa México and Shaan Curry House. Have you been to either spot yet?

I'm on Colonnade Rd in between Merivale and Prince of Wales. My new Co-workers recommend Shawarma de Roza, T&T and a place called Shorty's sandwiches.
Looking for a few more suggestions for both take out and sit down lunches.
