Anyone know anything beyond the vague marketing page and poster?

Anyone planning to go?

Sold out anyway at this point. Without a phone number for this company, I'm a little unsure about them...

There was an article on it in today's Metro newspaper: metronews.ca

As a follow-up on the ticket availability the advance tickets have been sold out but some tickets will be available at the door: www.facebook.com

If it's any help the Sip 'n Slurp noodlefest a couple of months ago was organized by the same company. I bought a ticket but was not able to go since I came down with the flu a couple of days before the event and was still not eating when the weekend rolled around. But some OFers surfed in and provided feedback: Forum - Sip 'n Slurp

Hope this helps..

...anybody go?

I saw the list of vendors via Instagram and was struck by the lack of taco and Mexican restaurants. Unsurprisingly, the vendors participating in this event are those who would not normally be busy on a Saturday night—either because they are food trucks or they aren't very well known.

Apparently, the Gongfu Bao tacos were exceptionally good.

I went early Saturday ~ 5:00, the flow was nice, short line, reasonable cost and friendly kiosks:) Overall nicely done I thought. On my wish list would have been live music, fish tacos and pollo pibil:)(had it in the yucatan and loved it!!!) The lay out was good, there were drinks and tables in one room and food in the other, stands nicely displayed. Foodwise, there were sliders, mexican and fusion style tacos. My favourite plates among the ones I tried (so many too try) were the Mango Lettuce Crisp from Johnathan, fresh light and tasty (could have eaten a tray of it:))), the Chicken Tinga (sweet spicy chipotle sauce) from Burrito Borracho so good!!!, the tofu pad thai from Green Papaya and the Red Curry Duck from New Mee Fung were very nice. I also loved the creativity of the dessert "Churro Poutine" with marshmallow, chocolate and caramel sauce from Mr. Churritos. Here are a few of the photos (there were around ~ 20 kiosks, here is a quick sampler of the tables/tacos, some tried some admired:) wish I had one of each:))))

Neat photos, was wondering about this event!

I just find it funny how almost everyone is now calling any dish with a sauce on it "poutine".
The churro w chocolate and mashmallows looks tasty
