Ever since moving to Ottawa I've been in numerous bakeries to find the best cookies. I like baking my own however sometimes you just want one. I like a chewy cookie and so far Starbucks is winning the competition! I've tried cookies at both bakeries in byward market, 3 tarts on wellington, thyme and again, rideau bakery and all were overcooked in my eyes. Any help? I'm a sucker for white chocolate macadamia nut and I DO NOT do raisins.

try Epicuria in New Edinburgh and also while there try bread and roses both are excellent

I know you're a fan of the chewy cookie, but I have to pipe up a bit since I haven't seen them in a while, but Boko Bakery used to make these earl grey tea cookies with a little mint leaf adhered to the top of the cookie with a small amount of egg wash... this is, in my opinion, the best cookie I've ever eaten. Such a good balance of flavours. As far as your white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie is concerned... lol... go to Subway! Sorry!
