I've been tasked with setting up a small-to-medium (60 people?) wine and cheese social gathering, and am interested in having most of the thinking performed by people smarter than I am.
I mean, I know a thing or two about both wine and cheese, but I'm not interested in having to do the prep work, the purchasing, the pouring, etc. etc.
Has anybody had any experience with caterers (Ottawa Foodies with catering businesses, I'm looking in your direction) who provide *good* cheese, paired wines, and all of the fun accompaniments (fresh and dried fruit, bread, preserves, etc.), as well as servers?
I see, for example, that Thyme and Again has cheese plates available for sale, but I don't see a mention of paired wines or servers. (That could be because I haven't read enough though.)
Thanks in advance! I was just at a wine and cheese tasting in Niagara over the weekend at the Stratus winery, so my engine's all revved up for setting one up of my very own.
