I found this great little filipino take out operationo in the Carribean grocer. The adobo pork was really tasty. I am also hooked on the fried pork belly.
I'm not very experienced with Filipino food, so I opted for a well-known dish rather than the most interesting sounding one. The Chicken Adobo ($9.50 tax-in) was a full meal of tasty chicken and delightful rice with an attractive garnish-like topping of julienned veggies. There was enough sauce to season all the rice, with little chunks of sauteed onion and ginger throughout. The salt level was on the high side but I don't mind that. All in all a nice supper!
