Where to get Epazote
Comments

I bought some fresh summer savoury for the first time ever, and after a wee nibble, I concluded that I had found an excellent substitute for fresh epazote (hard to find). It had that tarry, anise-y, wild flavour I have been looking for for some time. Inspired me to whip up some black beans, and I declare this substitution to be a success. Next mission: A substitute for fresh hoja santa (usually use some fennel tops plus some tarragon and a bit of cilantro, but it is not perfect).
