We tried out the Juke Joint a new restaurant in Carp which took over the Thai place. The cocktails and beer were very good, and the we enjoyed the appetizers. The servings were all very generous and prices were under $20. The crab cakes looked amazing, however they ran out (table next to us gave them a thumbs up).
There were hits and misses at our table. I had the very spicy pasta dish, which had a generous amount of sausage, chicken and shrimp, but found the sauce to be hot as advertised but overwhelming of black pepper flavour. The apps were nice, both the coconut shrimp and dill pickle chips. I tried my son's poutine, and while not really southern it was very solid.
