Had the chorizo and queso torta last week for lunch. It was so good and I can't wait to eat it and the other lunch-only byward-location-only items.

Visited the newly opened ByWard Market location for a celebratory work lunch. We had a lovely time and the food and drinks were great. The only disappointment for me was that the ox tongue in my taco was an unremarkable slab that had the texture and flavour of something reheated from the day before. $6.50 for one taco is pretty steep so I expect better. It was not the delightfully beefy chunk of tenderness I recalled having on Elgin Street. My fantastic El Fuego cocktail pictured here more than made up for the disappointing tongue. :P
