Gave the newly opened Makita Kitchen and Bar a try the other day. We decided to try 3 appetizers this time: Shrimp toasts, chicken wings and spring rolls.
The shrimp toast was the clear winner as it was super rich and salty. This benefited nicely from the fresh lemon we squeezed over it.
Spring rolls were just fine, nothing noteworthy.
Chicken wings seemed heavy on the fish sauce, which led them to be slightly salty, but this paired well with the fresh chilies.
Overall not bad, I'll return to try some of the main courses.
