Went to Prohibition Public House for a friends Bday this weekend. As a group of 8 we were given a lovely little private room that I would highly recommend for 8 person or less groups. Our serve Andree was fantastic as well.

We ordered 2 Charcuterie Boards "for 4" (@34$) These had a fantastic combination of cheese and meats including duck bacon, a Calabrese sausage, herb goat cheese, highland blue, toma sheep cheese, pineapple chutneys, squash puree, and assorted other goodies & other meat and cheeses I have forgotten. The boards included 1 bag of bread and crisps per 2 people so we got 4 in total. Unfortunately there was not a gluten free cracker or bread available for the gluten free individual in our party but she made it by with delicious cheese and meats. They were careful to accommodate a peanut allergy providing them on the side separate from the boards.

Wine and Beer list were quite extensive - lots of craft and local offerings on the Brew side although not as many on tap as I expected. Thursday night is 1/2 Price wine bottles so I will be back alone for that as well.

We also had Poutine Tacos ($15) - delicious poutine filled flour tortillas with pulled chicken and demi sauce. These were actually really tasty but a little dry at first. We requested an extra side of the sauce and it was heaven. I believe these should be served with the extra sauce to really get that poutiney vibe otherwise you really just ate a fried potato chicken and cheese wrap.

A couple of our group had the goat cheese and quince fruit dip with house-made purple potato chips which was fun but a relatively small portion for $14. Similar to the goat cheese included on the charcuterie plate.

We also had the deconstructed cheesecake $8 (fun take, great plating, overall tasty) as well as the layered chocolate mousse $8 which looked lovely but I didn't try.

Definitely feels like a fun place to hang in Centretown on a weekend evening. Good vibe and good food. I shall return.
