A slight drive into Gatineau for this resto but handy indeed if you plan to hit up the main mall Promenades Gatineau for Xmas/Holiday shopping (Simone's department store now open there right down the hall from the restaurant)!!!
Located in the mall on the exterior of the building (outside entrance and mall entrance) 3 Amigos is a Mexican Chain from Montreal that boasts tasty Guacamole and their own branded house brew (cheap & tasty if you are a lager fan)!
We ordered the "Bandeja de Botana 3 Amigos" (app platter under 15$) which included fried calamari, crispy flautas, jalapeņo poppers, garlic cactus, fried jalapeno's, cheese quesadilla, vegetable sticks, chipotle dip, Housemade Nachos and Guac. The flautas, guac and calamari were excellent. The garlic cactus was delicious (first time I have tried cactus so I can't really compare it). Jalapeno poppers were as expected and the Cheese Quesadilla benefited from the guacamole and chipotle dip because it was literally a tortilla stuffed full of cheese.
My friend also ordered the Pulled Chicken Quesadilla (under 10$) which was the highlight. Tasty bbq pulled chicken in a loaded quesadilla topped with pico de gallo and healthy dose of sour cream.
For around 45$ to eat and have Beers for 3 people it was well worth the value... definitely a nice break from shopping land :)
w.c. didn't find anything we ordered too spicy or too salty which is generally unheard of :P
