We came here today on the recommendation of a friend. The place is very clean and the service is excellent with very friendly waitstaff. DH ordered from the main menu, I ordered from the breakfast one. He had a smoked meat sandwich which contained 8 oz. of smoked meat served on Rideau Street bakery rye bread with home cut fries, cole slaw and a dill pickle. Well, actually not a whole dill pickle, but a slice of dill pickle. An entire pickle would have been appreciated. His food while tasty, was not very warm. He ate it anyway and when it was mentioned to the waiter, he adjusted the bill. My food was piping hot and excellent. I had what I think was called the Hometown Breakfast Sandwich which was actually a burrito stuffed, and I mean stuffed, with eggs, ham, bacon, sausage and I forget with what else. I had the home fries which I was told were cooked on the grill and seasoned but I think they were deep fried and then mixed with bacon on the grill. However, they were excellent. They have an interesting menu in that they also serve what I consider to be non-pub food such as lamb shanks. They also have a nice choice of sides. Overall we were very pleased with our meals and will certainly be back. As an aside (it is a sports bar, after all) they have 34 televisions in the place. My friend tells me the chef is Cordon Bleu trained.
