Claypot is a small takeout restaurant tucked away at the side of the Place de Ville food court where, each morning, you can see the ladies prepping the veggies and other ingredients. They do serve breakfast at this time. At lunch, there are about 6-8 dishes available, like curries and stir frys, which seem to be a mix of Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisines. With these, you can have rice, but there is no charge to have Pad thai or Singapore noodles instead. Before tax, a 2 item is $9 and a 1 item is $6. They are generous with the portions. Under $7 for a good amount of Pad thai and a beef broccoli? Yes please. Mondays they have Won Ton soup and the rest of the week they offer pho. I am not a pho expert but I liked it. I've been trying to bring lunch from home more often to save money, so today I just got a small pho to go with my homemade tiny wrap. A small soup is $3. Can't beat that. My biggest gripe is it's cash only. I have passed on going there more than once due to this factor and I am sure others have as well. Some dishes seem more "authentic" than others, and by that I mean, dark meat may be in the mix, so take note, if that's a concern for you. Other dishes are all white meat. I would recommend this place if you work at or near Place de Ville.
