Mainly involved with bottling preserves. Also a full-service café with fresh baked goodies.

Neighbourhood café/grilled cheese spot - they serve some of Ottawa's best coffee and baked goods. Happy to see they serve Pilot coffee and not the ubiquitous Bridgehead or Equator that is wholesaled to most places around town, variety is good! They also have house made preserves and canned goods, and offer canning courses from time to time. Porch seating is available in the warmer months and I think they're working on getting licensed.

Dw & I took our grandaughter for a spin in her stroller around her 'hood last week and popped into Red Door for a dbl shot for me and a doughnut for dw (and 2 for dd later that day). Creamy smooth shot with a sweet & sour finish, yum! Raspberry Suzy Q donut was very tasty, will be hard not to resist next time I see them.
We then headed out, me full of beans, for the park in her 'hood for some swinging, kiddy-car riding on the bball court and finished up with some sliding on the slide! Wheeeeee!

Had a nice sandwich and scones from Red Door yesterday. As the sign out front says, "proudly serving New Edinburgh for 48 days".

Tasty grilled cheese with pears, ham and gruyere. Novel idea of serving scones on a "board" with choices of house-made preserves; we tried "Sink, Florida" which is a grapefruit-based marmalade, and "Rites of Spring", featuring a sublime lemon flavour. Both came home with me in the form of a jar.

Owner Lauren states they haven't been able to keep up with demand. Seems the neighbourhood is responding well to the bright, clean shop, and the nice Pilot Coffee shots.

Enjoy.
