Finally tried this place after weeks of driving by daily and wondering how it was. 4 of us went for a late lunch, 2 of us very hungry and hubby and me not so hungry after a day of being gluttons at The Farmers Market. We shared a Gai Satay-4 skewers of chicken and our lunch mates shared the Goong Satay-shrimp. Both were beautifully presented on a bed of greens with a carrot flower and a bowl of peanut sauce. Quite good, not very spicy. None of the appetizers had a pepper beside them. We all had soup: 2 wontons which were okay but the other 2 had Tom Kha (coconut milk) and Tom Yum (hot and sour) with Tom Kha being the favourite. The soups are not very big so count on ordering something else even if you are not a big eater. We all had vegetable rolls again very fresh and nicely presented. Our friends shared a beef Larb-cold salad with alot of beef , sprouts, greens and a spicy lime-mint dressing. I had a taste and it was delicious. This was a large serving. We took home a pad thai which was very good but not all that big—maybe if you have it in the restaurant you get more. Each couple shared a white sangria made with limes, melon liqueur, wine and soda. It was okay but a little too limey for my taste though it would be very refreshing on a hot summer day. Service was friendly but a little slow at first. The restaurant has been decorated very nicely and the ambience is lovely. Hopefully this niche restaurant will make it. I will definitely be back.
