I will second Saurian's review. I'm there almost every week.

Sushi is still fresh and now they even know my order by heart :)

I'm hesitant to announce that it's so good, because everyone will start going!

I feel compelled to repost even though I reviewed this place not that long ago. It's just been amazing and consistent and I swear their udon noodle soup keeps getting better every time.

I always get the seafood udon noodle soup. At $9.99 it's not cheap considering you can get a vat of pho for that price, but it is a big bowl, and the ingredients are plentiful and of high quality. The broth has this flavour I can't pinpoint but it's awesome and a nice changeup from pho as well (and don't get me wrong: I love, love pho).

The mussels are fat and perfectly cooked, and there are lots of little shrimp. Veggies are great and not just there for filler.

Service is sweet and personable as usual.

Also, they get bonus points for not putting soy sauce IN the prepared sushi containers, fooling you in to thinking you're getting more weight for your money (I'm looking at you, Sushi Shop...)

I go at least twice a week now.

Just tried this place for the first time, pretty pleased and will return to try something else. I only had spicy salmon hosomakis.

The owners are indeed very nice, in fact interrupting each other to assist me lol.

I had to find a new place since one of the other places went down in quality and the other up in price.

This is my go-to for take-out sushi for lunch near work (Bank of Canada, which is one street over).
Their stuff is fresh and they have a nice selection of non-sushi items, some with a Korean twist. The edamame is plump and decently priced (I think it's $2 for a small container). Seaweed salad is as good as any restaurant's. They have this amazing, slightly oily, surely unhealthy shrimp egg pancake which I think might be considered a pajeon in a Korean resto.

The noodle and rice dishes consist of quality meat and seafood and are also good bang for the buck.
My only complaint is the fish in the sushi rolls is on the small side.

The man and woman, I assume a couple, that are always there when I go, I also assume they run/own the place, are crazy nice. A welcome change from many of the fast food sushi shops around town that in my experience, tend to be pretty cold and unfriendly.

Oh yeah, and they have kimchi!

This place is amazing. The sushi is always very good and fresh, the service is great. I'm addicted to their udon soups. The veggy soup has loads of veggies and tofu and noodles and is always so delicious.

This small shop was formerly Go for Sushi, on Queen near Bank. I am not sure if ownership has changed but the current owners are very nice and polite. I don't normally frequent sushi places as I'm a big eater and don't find sushi gets it done, unless it's AYCE. However I've been returning regularly for their Chicken Udon soup. Compared to the udon soups at certain Japanese food court chains (my only comparable) this place blows them away. The soup features a tasty teriyaki-type broth chock full of fresh goodies: plentiful hearty dense udon noodles (vermicelli is also available), a whole sliced chicken breast (well trimmed), mushrooms, scallions, carrots, broccoli, and a variety of Japanese throw-ins that are nowhere to be found in the chains. I believe these include atsuage (a kind of fried tofu), kamaboko (a sort of bright pink fish loaf), and at least 1 or 2 other items I could not identify, but were delicious! I usually get a side of hot sauce, which is sriracha and gives the soup some kick. It costs $7.99+tax, so basically $9. Much, much better than most nearby options at that price; highly recommended for desk lunch. The sushi rolls and sashimi look good too, and they also have bibimbap, which I'm told was very good and I plan to try it soon.
