I wanted to try Authentika after recommendations of a few taxi drivers in Hull.

My wife and i went at lunch and since a lot of things on the lunch menu were similar to what my wife cooked up during the week, she was somewhat upset with me (she wanted Vietnamese).

I asked her to give the place a chance and she did.

We were soooo pleased she did.

Although the place is small, it was well decorated and friendly.

The service was very good from the start and stayed that way during the whole meal.

I opted for the nachos as i am a big fan.

The salsa was fresh and have a beautiful taste of cilantro, mmmmmm

My wife opted for the fresh cut fries and homemade mayonnaise. She was enchanted with her dish.

The prices were very reasonable (12$ for a mountain of fresh made nachos chips, cheese and that delicious salsa) and 5$ for the frites.

Both left us full, very statisfied and happy.

The waitress suggested that we come at night and try the tapas or burgers (huge).

We will indeed do this very soon.

I highly recommend this little gem.
