pricey restaurants are unsustainable if you are raising a family. especially teens growing by leaps and bounds. oh well, there's always the buffet....which COULD be more economical than even cooking at home as long as they choose proper nutrition.

The recent newspaper write up was right. This buffet restaurant is the region's best kept secret even though there were lot's of people there when we went. The food was excellent. Among the five of us we almost tried everything. I particularly enjoyed the sushi (endless quantities and good variety prepared in front of you, as so many other foods)the pizza ( they have a stand-alone pizza station making a variety of pizzas) and their mussels (my weakness).
The decor is spectacular and the place, with its high ceiling and spread out seating, made our visit very comfortable and airy. The staff obviously enjoys working there, as there smiles and prompt, friendly service added to our delight.
Went here this past weekend to sample the buffet.
I had read a few reviews that were both positive and negative, but was willing to try it out.
Overall we found the buffet dissapointing. While there is lots to choose from, the food was not great. While items like the Chinese food were bland, other items just didn't taste right, or had strong not-enjoyable flavours (ie sausage, meatballs etc.). This place was EXTREMELY busy and so food was 'fresh' and replaced frequently, so it wasn't that these items were just sitting out too long.
The foods that were positives were those prepared on the spot. I watched a chef prepare a gyro and it was good. The carving station with its smoked meat and other roast meats were also good.
The price is reasonable, but the food was just not worth it. I love a good buffet, but Le Buffet des Continents wasn't for us.
