Hi All,

Where would I find a Babka in Ottawa? I live in the west end, so willing to go as far as downtown.

Continental Deli or Weidel might have it. Both places are located in the Byward Market.

The kosher section at the superstore in college square sometimes has it. Or maybe try Kettlemans?

Are we talking chocolate babka.. *drool.. That's one thing I dearly miss about Montréal.

Is chocolate babka available in Ottawa as well? Are they one and the same?

Holy Smokes appears to be one and same.. In Montreal if you're there early you can get it warm.. Your heart sings. We usually goto Chekies

I can't find her details right now but when I do will post. Seriously, it's some glorious babka.

I think one must go to Montreal for good babka.

If you end up going to Montreal, there is a great little cafe called Fletchers in the Museum of Jewish Montreal that does chocolate babka French toast on the weekends - it is amazing. (They are closed at the moment due to COVID).
