St Angel cheese [General]

Tree Pug, you have me curious about this cheese. I did a bit of digging and it probably won't help much but this cheese falls under the Saputo brand. So it seems to me that if you find a store that sells Saputo brand cheeses, and there are a lot of cheeses sold by them, that you could maybe ask if they can order it for you? If you need to order more than one let me know, and I'll go in on some with you.

Okay, weird Saputo story.
YESTERDAY, I found a block of cheese in my fridge. I knew it had been there for a while, but just kept overlooking it. I knew I had bought it a while ago. I took a look at the best before date and it was March, 2014.
MARCH, 2014!
This was a block of 'pizza mozzarella'. Is this stuff even cheese? It was perfectly fine. No mold, no colour, no flavour, nothing but cheesy structure when grated and melted on a big plate of nachos. I'm sure this stuff has its place, but I'll never buy it again. This is probably not a mark against Saputo, but against the cheese itself.

Tree Pug I went on my shopping trip to the Glebe yesterday and I paid a visit to Il Negozio Bottega and Whole Foods while I was there. You are in luck - both stores have it! Bottega charges $7.10/100g and Whole Foods charges $69.99/kg. Both stores keep it in the refrigerators with the wheels of cheese.
