Just a few weeks ago.

Why can't I flip through older posts in the forums? Why just the front page?

I am trying a number of different search terms on the site to find that thread, but it is not coming up.

Yes, thanks. I did eventually find it but it took one heck of a lot of searching for a thread that is only a month old. I'm still not convinced the google search is any better than the native search that used to be here.

And I'm still puzzled why we can't flick back through forum threads after they drop off the bottom.

Yeah, a button to view older threads would be helpful. Otherwise, if the search function isn't finding what you're looking for, it's a pain to go through the forum archives month by month.

Hey zymurgist, you can access the old native search via +Add vendor or food at the top of the REVIEWS page. You can use that to search the forums just like before. I'm not thrilled with the Google custom search either, but it's usually better than the native one. I'd like to get the best of both worlds of course...

Count me in as another person who preferred the old search format.

similar problem to zym's here, coincidentally while looking for another thread he started on new breweries. I couldn't find it with the custom search (no results) but found it with std google search using "ottawafoodies square timber"; it was the top result. Just wanted to add yet another new brewery to the thread. Kinda pointless when you have difficulty searching here for the thread.
