Hello all. The Bay has a one day sale today for the KITCHENAID Professional 600TM 6 quart Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer at a price of $299. Anyone have any experiences with it? Seems like a great price.

Thanks Cap'n. I had reviewed Zym's earlier comments but was wondering whether there were any recent experiences. The toptenreview site was very helpful (hadn't seen that one before) and it looks like, for our use, the KA Artisan or Cuisinart might be the way to go.

I had a 2009 KA Professional (from COstco). The plastic gears blew making bread, same experience as Zym.

Stay away.
