Imagine blue tomatoes in salads, on burgers, or blue tomato sauce on pasta, pizza etc..

I'm curious as to their flavour. I loved the idea of blue (okay, purple) potatoes, but I absolutely loathe their texture. Somehow both waxy and mealy at the same time.

They always look great but i have yet to eat one and find it worthwhile.

Qualifier: i've tried at least three different 'blue' tomatoes, but i have no idea if any of them were the ones pictured.

Someone told me they taste like regular tomatoes, but I can't say, as I've never had one.
