Chateau Montebello - lunch vs brunch buffet [Food/Vendor]
2014 Mar 31
Have done both. Brunch was way better.
Lunch is primarily cold cuts, salads, cold sandwiches/wraps, a couple of soups and quiches of decent quality, I seem to recall there was a ham carvery, but overall nothing wow. A small hot section with lasagna, chicken legs and something that had beef in it. Nothing bad, but, y'know, moderately high end hotel lunch buffet designed for conferences sort of thing.
Brunch, they go big. 3-4 things on the carvery, omelette station, all your favorite pig parts, juices, plus most of the stuff from the lunch buffet, only fresher, plus a better dessert selection.

Agreeing with all of OSoloMeal's observations. Regular lunch menu is nothing to write home about, but Sunday brunch is a Montebello tradition. Lineups start at around 11am and snake around the fireplace until brunch buffet official starts at 11:30am.
Don't get in before the brunch buffet starts because the regular breakfast buffet is also not noteworthy.
